upload not possible - filesize is incorrect

Hai!

I got a problem with the upload of the first file of every 'Clean Energy Project' since yesterday.

I'am unable to upload cause size is 2,52 KB from 2,37 KB... confused
WUs are (respectivley file with wrong size):
E200450_ 834_ A.24.C18H12N2S3Si.214.3.set1d06_ 0_0
E200451_ 244_ A.24.C18H12N2S3Si.200.0.set1d06_ 0_0

Nothing until knreed announces that this problem Filesystem Error is over.

Then, if uploads do not resume naturally you might force a manual retry from the Transfer tab.

Re: upload not possible - filesize is incorrect

Am I missing something here? I thought uploads are redirected to Harvard for this project? Uploads should be good but cannot report the task.

Yes you miss something. The controls are still from WCG. Since the scheduler has been stopped the 3 way CEP2 only communication is not taking place to ascertain that the files have correctly transferred.

Re: upload not possible - filesize is incorrect

ah, got it. I thought it was just a simple redirect. So Harvard server is just for storage and WCG's do the transaction auditing.

Thanks

Atleast the windows-CEP2-beta had multiple upload-files per task, there only some of the files went to Harvard, while the rest went to WCG. Since WCG is down, any files going to this upload-server won't be transferred, while the Harward-bound should be unaffected by this outage.

Reporting and getting more work again goes to WCG, so is affected by the outage...

Re: upload not possible - filesize is incorrect

Ingleside, whether production on Linux or Beta or Windows (latter I think your only CEP2 exposure), the CEP2 results consist of 5 files. How the Harvard storage works and interacts has never been explained (is it integrated into the overall SAN?). What we do know is that if BOINC in general is locked by WCG's, all functions in connection goes down.

edit: and to match X-files 27's experience, I've just tried uploading the specific _4 CEP2 part and it fails within seconds and reverts to Retry time same as the other result files that go the the Toronto server. All IS affected.
