Re: Suspending computation - CPU usage is too high

Yes, that's why I started a thread some days ago to warn of this new feature which is most affecting those running CEP2 (so far still only under Linux): http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,29927

The WCG new user default device profile will be 50% rather than 25%, which is too low. Practically 75-90% will more or less stop the constant switching on and off during normal use. At any rate set it to a level that you're comfortable with.

Re: Suspending computation - CPU usage is too high

OK, so the new option on the website device profiles has a somewhat different, more understandable description compared the one in the client:

Suspend work if CPU usage is above 25 % of cpu

Set it higher there if you do not use local preferences. Clear the Local preferences to make sure the web-prefs remain in effect.

I have it set at 100%.

Re: Suspending computation - CPU usage is too high

You "have it" or you "had it"? Yes, I know even at 100% it can kick in but not as frequent as what your log shows, as found during my own testing... set it to zero which disables the function or set to Run Always in Activity menu to get full throttle.

Notably, Local prefs, once started, will override web prefs forever, which is why I proposed in my addendum post that you hit in the Local Preferences screen the "Clear" button.

Re: Suspending computation - CPU usage is too high

Had it set at 100. Since this is a new install all prefs are set locally.
