About WCG Software version 6.2.28, the file, on which is discribed the URL list of the Projects in BOINC, is 'all_projects_list.xml'. It includes the URL description of the FreeHAL Project ,which is 'http://freehal.net/freehal_at_home/'.
However, I think this description is wrong because of the message from the FreeHAL Project. ----- 26-Sep-2010 00:24:40 [FreeHAL@home] You used the wrong URL for this project 26-Sep-2010 00:24:40 [FreeHAL@home] The correct URL is http://www.freehal.net/freehal_at_home/ 26-Sep-2010 00:24:40 [FreeHAL@home] Using the wrong URL can cause problems in some cases. 26-Sep-2010 00:24:40 [FreeHAL@home] When convenient, detach this project, then reattach to http://www.freehal.net/freehal_at_home/ |

But, as to the address, you think is wrong, just checked on a fairly new, clean install of Linux 6.10.58 and it says in the all_project_list.xml http://freehal.net/freehal_at_home/ with the www missing. What seems is that FreeHal may have added the www or needs to write to Berkeley to have this fixed as this file is possibly centrally retrieved. Think that nowadays www is not needed on most www prefixed addresses and browser or DNS servers automatically assuming this. Certainly when I type worldcommunitygrid.org in the address bar and enter the browser goes off and than in a few seconds substitutes this with the full http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org.
