Hello,

My HP with Intel CORE 2 Quad CPU Q9450, 2.66Ghz ends all HFCC in error.
My HP with CORE i7 CPU 920 at 2.67GHz does it OK
Both are on Windows Vista
Other tasks go OK on both.

What happens ?

Cheers,

Paul

Not being clairvoyant, not even when ODing on Belgian Chocolate: No idea. You may tell us by providing information such as a result log (click on error link on Result status page) and a piece of the client message log from around the time that such a task has failed (look in the stdoutdae.txt file). Then we may have some idea to go start to ask more questions for information.

Re: Different results on different PC's

Here it is. Is it possible that my firewall (Comodo) blocks the wcg messages ?

Re: Different results on different PC's

Re: Different results on different PC's

Still not resolved, still the same: One PC does all tasks except HFCC (they all end in error), the other does all tasks HFCC included.

Re: Different results on different PC's

Hello vep,
0x5 is a Windows system error meaning 'Access is denied". I do not know what HFCC is trying to do that your system does not allow. But it apparently involves CreateProcess(). The easy thing is just to block HFCC. Alternatively, you can use Google to search for utilities that claim to examine systems that give 0x5 error messages. I have never used one and, since I am mildly paranoid, would not use one unless it were both highly recommended by reviewers with a good reputation and were free or very low in cost.

thinking Just remove HFCC from your Projects list.
