do you have the logs showing this behaviour under windows-7 or Vista? 06-Sep-2010 15:24:37 [---] [cpu_sched] resuming GPU activity 06-Sep-2010 15:26:44 [World Community Grid] [checkpoint_debug] result c4cw_target02_001614512_0 checkpointed 06-Sep-2010 15:32:44 [---] [cpu_sched] suspending GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:22:31 [World Community Grid] [checkpoint_debug] result c4cw_target02_001611464_0 checkpointed 07-Sep-2010 19:29:59 [---] [cpu_sched] resuming GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:30:25 [---] [cpu_sched] suspending GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:31:49 [---] [cpu_sched] resuming GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:33:39 [---] [cpu_sched] suspending GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:35:59 [---] [cpu_sched] resuming GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:36:50 [---] [cpu_sched] suspending GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:38:36 [---] [cpu_sched] resuming 18:22 19-9-2010 activity 07-Sep-2010 19:39:30 [---] [cpu_sched] suspending GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:40:08 [World Community Grid] [checkpoint_debug] result c4cw_target02_001611464_0 checkpointed 07-Sep-2010 19:43:35 [World Community Grid] [checkpoint_debug] result c4cw_target02_001613391_0 checkpointed 07-Sep-2010 19:44:03 [---] [cpu_sched] resuming GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:44:05 [---] [cpu_sched] suspending GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:46:22 [---] [cpu_sched] resuming GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:47:15 [---] [cpu_sched] suspending GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:48:50 [---] [cpu_sched] resuming GPU activity 07-Sep-2010 19:52:45 [---] [cpu_sched] suspending GPU activity 11-Sep-2010 09:17:43 [World Community Grid] [sched_op_debug] Reason: requested by project 11-Sep-2010 09:26:03 [---] [cpu_sched] resuming GPU activity 11-Sep-2010 09:33:04 [---] [cpu_sched] suspending GPU activity 11-Sep-2010 09:34:45 [World Community Grid] [checkpoint_debug] result c4cw_target02_001613079_0 checkpointed 11-Sep-2010 09:36:09 [---] [cpu_sched] resuming GPU activity 11-Sep-2010 09:36:17 [World Community Grid] [checkpoint_debug] result c4cw_target02_001611891_0 checkpointed 11-Sep-2010 09:36:49 [---] [cpu_sched] suspending GPU activity and on and on it goes until ticking the box to allow GPU running during use... it's of course not used. Now this is... Windows 7 - 32 bit, but the 64 bit shows same and last I checked it still has an entry as a service when firing up the services.msc.

Now it stopped downloading any kind of cache--tried to add some FightAIDS....decided to try resetting the project. Came up with 4 DDDT-2's and it says its transferring info from CPCW and FightAIDS. All which I've had it do some off here and there but all that's showing up under Tasks is 4 DDDT2's and that's it. Can't get any other project on it. Suppose I may need to fully detach/reattach?

When you do a WCG project reset, the first thing is done to download a set of files, mostly used by the Simple View to produce the slide shows that go with the different sciences, all active/intermittent for that matter. If you set your cache to zero, then you get work for the present. If it's a 4 core, then 4 jobs you get and lucky you, reads like they were all DDDT2 repair jobs. When the jobs are nearly finished, new work is requested, that is, depends on what else is attached to your client and what project weight/resource share WCG is given compared to Collatz etc.
----------------------------------------All that detaching/re-attaching is not needed at all. The sciences you select either via My Grid > My Projects or My Grid > Device Manager > Device Profile, where of course you need to modify the profile that is associated with the client. The currently assigned profile you can see in My Grid > Device Manager.

Sekerob -I understand that but it's not building a cache. I have it selected currently to do fightaids amongst finishing up DDDT2. Why is it not even TRYING to download/display a cache of FA WU's to crunch after it finishes the DDDT2 WU's?

Hello !
----------------------------------------I have the same problem exept I dont use my gpu for crounching. And looks like automatic scheduler not working cause I almost run out every task and nothing happening. I also try to refresh manually when I get the following mesagge : Requesting new task for gpu request completed got 0 task So I'm not able to get new taks and as I can see there is no cc_config.xml . Maybe thats the problem ? ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by -Tails- at Sep 27, 2010 8:17:15 AM] |

I run Collatz on it as well so I don't want to TOTALLY kill gpu useage-just for WCG This is the same case as one of my PCs. I use its CPU for WCG and GPU for Collatz. I just ignore the message that it's requesting work for GPU in WCG. What other projects have GPU WUs? |
