What is the best way to tell if you are gaining or losing ground to other users in the SNURK standings page other than keeping a pen and paper tally daily. Concerned primarily with the avg run time / project number that determines the globes. Would a quick look at the GFlops give a reasonable estimate? Would be wonderful to have a change in last day column on this page Or maybe a run time last day or GFlops last day column, whatever would be the best indicator.

Really cool that you took the time to do that.

The "Run time/prj" arithmetic seems off sometimes. I have ~52 years / two projects = ~26 yrs/prj, not ~2. Also, Skivelitis2 has 1.43 yrs / 6 prjs = ~87 dys/prj, not ~20. |

Greatnessguru, This can be a little confusing. The projects in this calculation refers to the total number of projects in the entire history of the WCG. So it is actually 25 projects, not just the number that an individual has worked on. |

The projects in this calculation refers to the total number of projects in the entire history of the WCG. So it is actually 25 projects, not just the number that an individual has worked on. Then "Run time/prj" is a completely meaningless, useless and even senseless number for anyone who has not contributed to all 25 projects. For me, all I really wanted was a total accumulated WCG time "badge". All the other stats are nice to have, except for "Run time/prj". This number has no socially redeeming "value", unless the definition changes and the arithmetic adjusted accordingly. |

... For me, all I really wanted was a total accumulated WCG time "badge" ... This is exactly what the globe is. It IS your total accumulated WCG time. The only difference is that it is devided by 25 for everyone. It's a fair comparison. |

Hello Folks,
Firstly thing is Thank you Snurk for keeping your excellent signature label going. I very much appreciate its looks and usefulness. Unfortunately had to temporally remove it from my WCG sig block due to the 250 characters sig limit and our next XS event promotion. Secondly, on behalf of the of the XtremeSystem WCG team I invite you all to join us for our 2015 Movieman Megamonth Crunching Memorial Event. You can read more about the event in this WCG forum thread or at our XS forum through the link in my signature block. Hoping to see y'all there..! |
