----------------------------------------One suggestion, for a newer user...when he wants you signature, he gets the "Run time/prj" equal to "Run time" / 23...that is NOT OK, 'cause that guy has been contributing to only from 1 to 4 of current projects...so the "Run time/prj" is about 1/6 to 1/23 less than what it is supposed to be! Can you also check for which projects a guy has returned WU? Add them up & -1 (for Beta)...and correct "Run time/prj"... In my case, I have participated in only 21 prj...20 of which I have badges! One less for Beta, brings me to 19 prj... On today I have total of 38,1y of CPU contribution "Run time"...which bring me above 2y "Run time/prj" and a Sapphire badge... @KLiK: every once a while we had this discussion.
----------------------------------------The Run time/prj is used for the globe colour. Consider this: A new user signs up only to one project. This means his Run time/prj equals Run time. So he gets his globe updates very soon and easy. Not fair at all from my point of view.  |

2 KLiK: everything is correct and in order. I am also the new user, but I have read this thread and explanation how the philosophy of the signatures has been set and run, and it is OK.
----------------------------------------Anybody can create his/her own signature with the algorithm which he/she consider the most adequate. SNURK has created this one. The only fair and just way of keeping the playing field level is to use the same algorithm for all users. As has been said, anyone who is not happy has the free choice to use or not use the sig file.

Not fair at all from my point of view. 1. it's only a suggestion! 2. you would be a sapphire, by doing a 6 projects till now with 15.3y of total run time No, it's not fair to have quickly the globe...but you still have to do a pretty good deal of calcs to make to emerald (1/4 of a year on quad-core)! Remember...we can all choose our projects! Currently I'm doing 2 projects...before they run out... why? I want a 10y badge in MCM & at least Sapphire in UGM... ;) |

Thanks for explaining once more why the calculation of the Globes is the way it is guys. KLiK I hope you don't feel bad about coming to this thread with a suggestion. I also hope you can now understand why the majority of us feel that the current way of calculating the globes is the most fair for all. Thanks.
