.....of those 700 there are 116 who have asked SNURK for a favour and as of today have not returned a WU for over 30 days (Inactive) in 2 weeks now have 129 inactive out of 706.Yes, it's a sad reminder of the fact that a lot of people get bored fairly quickly with contributing something for humanity..  In total we are approaching 80% inactive crunchers at WCG according to this Boincstats graph:  |

Just for the record: WCG is not doing so bad at all compared to other large Boinc projects that have been around for a long time:

Well, Im here to stay.
----------------------------------------Doing Milkyway@home and World Community Grid on my idle time on my Gaming Rig, and Rosetta@home is dedicated 24/7 to a old Mac Mini I had laying around. I do have a question for you SNURK. I had gotten into the game of making Dynamically updated signatures as a hobby a couple years ago. You know, making the PHP take stats from a website and render it as a photo. The only question is, and you don't have to reveal your source code or anything, is how you make the image host on photobucket? Using that logic, wouldn't you need to reupload the image everytime you needed to update it? |

First of all, I'm not using PHP to generate HTML rendered into images.
----------------------------------------I use the scripting language AutoIt that runs on my server at home to collect all the stats data, write the signatures as HTML files, then render those into images. And indeed these need to be uploaded to Photobucket every day. The script does this by using command line FTP commands. You need to have a pro-account at Photobucket to be able te use FTP uploading. |

That is very interesting. Never thought that you could do it that way. I always thought you needed PHP to do that type of thing.
