Re: I made a new forum signature.

Hi SNURK,

How often do the signatures update? It has been several days now, and my sig still shows old data. I only noticed because I expected a Bronze globe a few days ago.

And I check back and lo and behold, it is updated! biggrin

Re: I made a new forum signature.

Am I the only one that think the stick man column on the sig page is a little too busy?

I like it. It give me all the info I like to see in a glance.

One this I would like to see is a Legend somewhere that explains in detail what everything means.

It the same info as before, but it's harder to read now.

I see where you're going BladeD. I agree it's not as clear as it was. I think there's no harm done in leaving out the silver colored men (only on the list, not on the signatures) so the rest stands out more. I'll give that a try.

Guru #9 checking in! Thanks again SNURK for making the awesome sig!

Congratulations and well done! biggrin

Thanks!

To all those requesting a sig, be careful what you wish for. With a sig, we tell when you go dark (and I'll not talking about the globe)! wink (ie. one that had 300+ GFlops is about to go dark)

Your talking "inactive" right?
I've noticed a lot of the Extreme Systems members are that way. Must be working on a challenge on a different project or something.

Yes. But the one that I was talking about is not a member of Extreme Systems.

Re: I made a new forum signature.

Sorry about that mfbabb2. The signature script had a mishap the other day. It's the one error in there that I'm still chasing. It happens randomly about once a week. The signatures come out all jagged/interlaced kind of looking. The earlier owners of a signature maybe remember the sigs were accidentally uploaded once looking that way. Back then I did a quick fix to prevent them from uploading looking all bad, but the problem is still in there, only now it just exits the script. I'll try to bust this one soon!

So to answer your question, the sigs are updated once a day normaly, besides the occasional mishap as described above. However it might also happen that you are looking at an older version that is cached by your browser.

Anyway, congratulations with your bronze badge. Onto the next. biggrin

I've noticed that too. Whatever they're doing I hope they return soon. Maybe the upcoming new project will re-spark their interest. biggrin

Everybody needs a holiday from time to time, but if you're working with students you need a few holidays more. smug

ps: The WCG Forum Signature Ranking page has a header now and you're hiding a link behind the dna-code. Well done, SNURK!

I visit their website occasionally. Many of them are now deeply involved with bitcoin mining. That could be why. Several have also shut down for the summer.
