Amish Computer Team

The Amish Computer Team has been running since 11/2004.
We haven't been very active in the past, but have been joining challenges lately, and would welcome any new members.
We're currently ranked #3,218 by points. However, that's with only 2 active members.

Re: Amish Computer Team

I have been happy to see your team participating in some of the same challenges as my tiny team. You have done an amazing amount of crunching.

Are any of your team members from Iowa? I live not too far from some Amish communities in Iowa.

No. I'm not actually Amish. The name is just a joke. I lived in Davenport IA as a child though.

Re: Amish Computer Team

I started keeping track of points, when I started running again recently. Since 4/28/10, I've accumulated 2,914,223 points.
That averages out to 22,077 per day.

Having grown up near an Amish community, I got a laugh out of it. Similar to the Jamaican Bobsled team!

Re: Amish Computer Team

I too had to stop and take a second look as I live in Amish country and know very well that it was highly unlikely lol.

Re: Amish Computer Team

I like the team description -
"While we plow our fields, our computers sit idle. It's time we in the Amish community put our high powered computers to use!"
