I am going away for a couple of weeks. I will have only accasional access to the internet. I wanted to load my laptop with enough work for 5 days so I can keep it crunching.
----------------------------------------I went to the device profile and I changed Workunit Cache Settings to 5 days but I still do not get any more tasks queued than before. What should I do? Thanks ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Gil II at Sep 6, 2010 6:15:04 PM] |

Hi Gil II,
----------------------------------------as it happens there was a longer discussion working through many options without much feedback from the one who had and resolved the problem, but it seems the answer is in here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,29766 Think if you Clear the local prefs it's probably the first stop for you to take. Let us know and if solved insert the [RESOLVED] in your OP post title. cheers edit: clear

Following this advice
----------------------------------------go to the BOINC manager running on your machine and choose advanced, then preferences and click the "Clear" button so that the local BOINC manager will take the default values from the website. And increasing the amount of disk space fixed the problem Gracias Sekerob ![]() |
