Screen Saver Kick-in Time [Resolved]

Is there a way to change the screen saver activation delay time?
Is there a way to change the screen saver to be a blank screen?

Thanks,
Drew

Re: Screen Saver Kick-in Time

Both features are available in the BOINC screensaver

1. When it should start after X minutes idle time
2. When it should blank out so the energy saving feature of display can kick in.

This FAQ explains it for the 6.10 client: http://bit.ly/d2NfGN

Access to the screensaver controls is as normal for all Windows ... via the display control panel. (assuming you're on Windows)

Re: Screen Saver Kick-in Time

Searching Control Panel for boinc yields no results.
Searching Control Panel for screen saver yields nothing that looks like boinc's screen saver controls.
I found it by looking at the screen saver controls. It had changed my screen saver options to World Community Grid.

I never saw the screen that your link displayed.

Re: Screen Saver Kick-in Time [RESOLVED]

OK, good you got it solved. Would you please edit the opening post title and insert [RESOLVED] in there as what I did with this reply. Then we know the case is complete.

Probably you have a client from before 6.10.25 which only has a time delay to start and a time to blank the display. When the WCG screensaver showed, it almost surely was either 6.2.28 or 5.10.45 that you run.

cheers
