I need 19 more days to reach Sapphire. It took six months for the last rain to arrive. Hopefully it doesn't take that long again. I don't get why everyone is so upset about the work flow with this project. I haven't had any problems getting work when work becomes available. Monitoring this thread and setting my profile to Dengue only when new work is announced does the trick every time. This advice has been repeated over and over in this thread. Granted you won't make much progress during a single two week rainfall but after a few storms the badges will eventually arrive. It takes lots of patience to make headway in this project. I've only been able to reach Emerald since the beginning of Phase 2 running three machines (two duals, one quad). Not everyone is upset. You see comments from lot of crunchers seeing that DDDT2 is available, rain comes along and they didn't get a single work unit. We all can agree that this is not fair and you just have to play the game that everyone with DDDT2 badges are playing. These crunchers either do not want to play the game or just haven't learned how to play it. Another issue is that when you do play the game, each computer will start out by doing two tasks per day and you know that your wingmen's result is not due for another 9 days. So you may be stuck with two tasks per day until the next rain. [Edit 2 times, last edit by bieberj at Jul 24, 2012 2:12:37 PM] |

Please note the Quota does NOT depend on wingman. It is increased for every NON error completed. Pend Val counts as a Non Error.
Single redundancy (AKA No wingman needed) needs valid results from you and wingman before it will kick in. |

Excellent point
Not everyone is upset. I don't think that anyone should be. I lucked out with 140+ days in the last batch. I could have had some more but I made a couple of errors. This project is what it is, as decreed by the scientists. Meanwhile there are many other valuable projects to work on. |

I didn't know that your quota goes up if it gets into pending validation. I know it goes down if you end up with an invalid and possibly an error. If that is the case, that's great. |

Just wondering how many people will check their Result Status page in a hurry following the posting of this sentence by me.

. . . Going to make it me mission to grab every single result there could ever be released. Want that elusive 5 year Ladinum badge. :P Would that be "Gold Plated Latinum"? [edit] Oops, my bad. That would be "Gold-Pressed" Latinum. [/edit] [Edit 2 times, last edit by gomeyer at Oct 16, 2012 4:49:45 PM] |

Ach well, I tried.
And target-wise, I have my 2-years-and-something that I wanted, so there is no pressure from my side to get the extra WU's when they come. |
