Woohoo - got a bunch - thanks!! I notice they have a seven day return date. Just wondering if you're in a real hurry for these?

Yep, got a bunch of type B DG wu's with a seven day deadline overnight. Looks like they're all gone now though.

Just wondering if you're in a real hurry for these? Absolutely (and hence, the shorter deadline). Basically, the Type A's are needed back ASAP so that the Type B's can be created. Likewise, the Type B's are needed back ASAP so that the Type C's can be generated - and, of course, it's the last type where the bulk of the WU's come from. So, please return any Type A's and Type B's as quickly as possible (and hence, the reason why I personally don't build up a big cache of any of these). ![]() |

Four dg02 type B's came in overnight on 2 machines, and that's with C4CW enabled and no cache. Given the lack of cache, they are already running, and will be returned quickly. I'm leaving the profile as-is, I like the mix of different types of work.

SLOWLY creeping up on emerald...picked up 26 last night across my systems. It looks like one repeat made it in there with a 3 day return time.
----------------------------------------I agree about the cache not being too big....especially when it's primarily Type A's and Type B's coming in. 1 day is usually plenty sufficient to keep a steady flow coming into your computer on this project, when WUs are available. If you have a large cache, you run the risk of those not getting completed by the deadline, in which case they have to be resent, or even if you do get them completed, everybody still has to wait until it's back for it to be processed and Type C units generated (and for your "wingman" to get credit for their matching WU). When these all get back and make Type C's, we'll have plenty for everyone to get a good size cache if they feel so inclined. Also, as I understand it, keeping a larger cache that prevents your computer from returning the WUs in less than 2 days reduces that systems "reliability" with the system, and makes you less likely to get Type A's in the future. ![]() |

You can all relax, my idea of increasing caching is to go from 0.2 days to 2 days.
I have about 13/14 of the WU's that are due for the 28th that will be back before midnight. All of my computers spend half their lives processing resends, I don't have to worry about reliability or delaying people with no patience. |
