Looking at;
https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/view...By=sentTime&pageNum=1 I see that I have; E200279_ 953_ A.23.C19H13N3Si.52.0.set1d06_ 1-- and E200279_ 939_ A.23.C19H13N3Si.47.3.set1d06_ 0-- I find this VERY interesting as there is no sign of them anywhere on my box. I did have, last evening, three WUs that appeared to not have reported. In messages there was something about not being able to open the DB. Ran Update and they were off my box but there was a message, in red, stating that they had already been reported. What on earth do I do about this? Someone, somewhere, will be wondering why I am not running these. |

Just to add to that, I just got two more cep2 WUs making a total of eight. Ten are still listed on the above link.
Appears to not be interfering with operations in any way it is just very worrying. The buggers are just not here. |

All tasks.
Beats me, never had anything like this before. All I can figure is that it has to do with the problem last night where it reported the two WUs and never removed them. Must have thought, at the server end, that they sent 2 WUs my way and they did not make it. |

Looking at; We cannot see your Result Status page (only the techs can), so please copy/paste both lines completely to your next post to allow us to see the whole information. It does not matter if they are too long.https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/view...By=sentTime&pageNum=1 I see that I have; E200279_ 953_ A.23.C19H13N3Si.52.0.set1d06_ 1-- and E200279_ 939_ A.23.C19H13N3Si.47.3.set1d06_ 0-- I find this VERY interesting as there is no sign of them anywhere on my box. Read you later. |

If you open the stdoutdae.txt file in the BOINC Data dir you can review what was logged during that period of problems. Lines to look for are similar to the below sample:
----------------------------------------11274 World Community Grid 27-08-2010 20:29:58 Finished upload of c4cw_target01_115143897_0_0 11276 World Community Grid 27-08-2010 20:30:02 Sending scheduler request: To report completed tasks. 11277 World Community Grid 27-08-2010 20:30:02 Reporting 2 completed tasks, not requesting new tasks 11279 World Community Grid 27-08-2010 20:30:04 Scheduler request completed If the scheduling debug flag had been on, you'd also normally see an acknowledgment line as per below i.e. the servers confirming the Ready To Report clearing. 11282 World Community Grid 27-08-2010 20:30:04 [sched_op_debug] handle_scheduler_reply(): got ack for result c4cw_target01_115143897_0

Well, I had looked at that file and gave up due to its length.
After your post I decided that I really did have a reference point, the WUs that I have that supposedly came before and after the missing ones.
As you can see there was that strange communications problem there sort of in the middle. The WU downloaded before that is listed on the WCG list of my WUs before the missing ones. The one at the end is listed right after the missing ones. The missing ones are not here nor are they mentioned in the stuff from the stdoutdae.txt file. I have 2 devices on record. They are both on this box. On the other one (the one in my sig) I do have the debug flag on. Have never dug into this one to do that. This one, the one with the missing WUs, is 6.10.52 running on Ubuntu 10.10-testing. Runs great. I have no idea what the communication problem was but I think it was at your end. Everything seemed to work here fine. I just did have some problem of a similar nature but that was strictly with my DSL modem supplied by the ISP. It needed reset. This was not the problem when the fault yesterday was happening. I checked and there was a solid connection with the Boinc site as far as My Grid was concerned. That is usually down if there is a problem at that end so I really am at a loss about this. |

So what seems to have happened:
----------------------------------------1. The Result data files transferred properly. 2. The Results confirmation (Read To Report), to the scheduler succeeded for 3 tasks, 2 CEP2 and 1 HCC, but the acknowledgment did not come back and a Server can't open database is reported preventing completion. 3. The Client tries again to do the Result confirmation for these 3 and is told by the server it already had them (the hickup, point 2), so clears these redundant lines on the client i.e. the Already Reported as success are your proof of receipt. So what is said on the Result Status page for these tasks in the Status column... still In Progress? 26-Aug-2010 21:36:14 [World Community Grid] Message from server: Completed result E200259_116_A.23.C16H10N4S2Si.38.4.set1d06_4 refused: result already reported as success 26-Aug-2010 21:36:14 [World Community Grid] Message from server: Completed result E200277_503_A.23.C19H11NS2Si.44.4.set1d06_0 refused: result already reported as success 26-Aug-2010 21:36:14 [World Community Grid] Message from server: Completed result X0000035540781200408051604_0 refused: result already reported as success Mind you valid tasks don't stay long on the RS pages. Now there is a gotcha. The result names and the zip file names are not the same, but that will change shortly. This is similar with HCMD2, which makes the reconstruction somewhat harder, but from I read here, the tasks reported properly and credit was granted after wingman arrival and validation.

I understood what the file was saying. What I am saying is that there are, according to the website page on My Grid>Results Status, 2 WUs, that would have come in the time period of the section of the log I sent, that are not here on my box.
There is no sign of them any where. I have, currently, the WU that came before they are reported as sent running. I also have the 2 WUs that are reported to have come after the 2 missing WUs running. There is and has not been, ever, any sign of them other than the Results Status page reporting that they were sent here. They are not, and never were, here. That is the crux of the matter. |
