I just got an error on a 40hr wu. Why am I getting 40hr work units?

I have noticed that I am getting errors on all of my machines more frequently than in the past. It still seems to be a very small percentage of the time and so I don't really care - that is until I see an error on the following wu.

If there are going to be recurring problems on such long work units I will have to opt out of projects that are sending out such long wu's.

Also, on what machine is that happening (CPU, RAM, OS).

ouch. Plz look under the Status page error link. Possibly this was a one off run-away that exceeded it's maximum run time (FPOPS in header times 10 I think for FAAH). Probably you can find a related entry in the message log or the stdoutdae.txt if there were many log entries.

edit: we have no scroll-box function. If there is no run time exceed, use some file sharing site like rapidshare or pastebin and post link.

Sek: I was able to post everything except the repetitive arccosine error message. I'm sorry but I didn't understand what you want me to do. Is this enough information or do I still need to look for the std error message text file?

Yes, right at the top

"Maximum elapsed time exceeded".

Speculation, it ended up in a loop just before a checkpoint going on and on and on finding that lowest energy. Suggest a boot if the client has been running for longer.

It hasn't been running for more than a couple days and it has W7 x64 so I can usually run for weeks with no problems.

This looks like a coding error - especially the more than 100 arccosine errors. I don't mind if this is a fluke but if not . . .
