I didn't know where to post this question so it's going here for now.
I want to put the World Community Grid logo on the back of my cell phone by way of a custom skin by VSkins. Would IBM have any issue with this? I looked at the Marketing Toolkit but didn't see anything relating to this. Thanks. |

Hi,
----------------------------------------The WCG logo (the chevron) is copyrighted http://www.ibm.com/legal/us/en/copytrade.shtml (once found a page that showed the actual logo's owned by IBM which included the WCG Logo). Silently tolerated I'd say if correctly rendered... spread the word ;D

I plan on making it as simple as possible. Just an all white skin with WCG's name, slogan, and chevron on the back.
Though I was playing around the custom skin editor and I've found it's difficult to make the text large enough to be readable from a distance but at the same time not tacky. I may just directly copy the widget and paste it onto the skin. |
