Sekerob, I really don't want to reach some record of WU in PV jail. I know the simple solution is to increase my cache size, but I prefer to just run it at between .5 days and 1 day for now. I could also switch to a project that does 0 redundancy, but I am batch hunting and i prefer to support the cancer project.
----------------------------------------I also know the main reason for the high PV WU is because most people have a high cache for their DDDT2 WUs. I mean I am currently running about 40% for DDDT2, 40% HCMD2, and 20% HCC, but something like 75% of the WU in PV are DDDT2. Sgt Joe, I forgot to mention that the machines are quad core. So 2 quad core processors + HT means I can run 16 threads at a time. ![]() |

For a little been keeping midday and midnight PV/Inconclusive Jail stats by science in hours and it's been going up... spread over 5 sciences, for 110 hours, presuming there to have been lots of wingman suspending or overbuffering as some of these are just not moving... 2 DDDT2 waiting for 4 days now and oops one of them sitting there with a Try Validation since Aug.23 ... one less now :P:

No records here [except WCG RAC at 2447.84], though running with just 1 day cache for weeks. With the RAC record, part being positive good news this morning, that 8 broke loose from jail whilst only 2 were checked in [1 PV plus 1 Inconclusive]... just

I have 579 tasks in total. 288 Valid, 155 IP, and only 129 PV here, but again running low cache:
----------------------------------------2 CW4W 20 CEP2 45 HCMD2 47 HCC 12 HPF2 3 FA@H You can see the need for the lower cache with HCC. I think in the past I have seen over 450 in PV, but that might have been when there was lots of DDDT2 tasks around; the very short jobs with lots of badge hunters going after them. Other than just to get a high daily return and perhaps into the top 50 once and a while I dont see any point in task stashing (say reporting every 4 or 5 days), but some appear to do it on many projects. The potential for lost results is too great for me, and there have been a few mega-flush failures. [Edit 1 times, last edit by skgiven at Jun 23, 2011 2:38:01 PM] |

Still just 6 in PV/INC jail... RAC climbed to 2471 as personal best... and still loosing ranking... 2085 today, up 2 from day before.
Weekend is here, so I'm expecting the values to climb for the next few days. Low cache means though that the weekend fetches will be mostly matched by others who do same, even when they have higher caches. These then will get their Monday/Tuesday validation most of the times. --//-- |

From Friday night, 7 to 11 on Sunday night, to presently 6. The tool by piroque, WCGDAWS, indicates that the average ''Time Out" is 24.71 hours i.e. from receipt of task to reporting. If at all... Who? Me? Nope, happy as a clam with those values.

Scary, and you're "only" 8th on your team :O)
:hailsmiley Running Linux? There's where me low number mainly stems from. Much smaller population and Linux machines are rarely switched off at that, so wingmen are bound to return earlier. --//-- |

Well, he is "only" 9th in results validated yesterday, so 8th is a step up.

I have 6 pages of HCC in PV = to roughly 5.63 days worth of work. My largest number of PV's I think.
