Re: Join The International Team

Hello team, finally Friday! :)
Yes we are doing good, I have soon reached my goal of the 1 year badge for HCC. After that I will be heading for the same badge but for HFCC. A couple of days ago I got ruby badge for CMD2, that's great!

So, Christmas is approaching...do you have any plans? Personally I don't know if I will have that many days off from work, but at least a few perhaps. Will take it easy I think...

Kjetil-Hestvik how is the new cruncher doing?

I bought a new video card, I think my other one was done,
got a gtx 560, overclocked with 2 fans built in.
Can't get my mic to work though, dont think that's going to help LOL

Re: Join The International Team

Kjetil, the stats look great!
JP, you seem to be having a good time! Good luck on your trip to see your sister also.

Here we have some kind of storm so hopefully there won't be a power outage ...

Anyway be well everyone!

Re: Join The International Team

I was answering Flodisar when he asked what everyone is doing for Christmas. (Since it was the post above I didn't really elaborate sorry).
That is when I am flying, to Seattle, the 24th and back on the 31st. Might have time for one drink before midnight when I get back :)

Flodisar, you may find when a project is winding down and you are close to your goal, you might play a game that doesn't use much processing to avoid slowing your progress down!
Happened to me over a couple projects, lots of solitaire or TV watching those days LOL.

And on to computer swapping around. The alienware is now under the steps in the basement, grumpily crunching away...
Don't know it's life expectancy (it IS an alien after all)
I pulled out the monster power hungry GTX 295 and put in a little 520 just enuf so I can make sure it's still crunching.

The new (3 months?) I7 2600K now has the new GTX 560 running in it. Pretty good video card and not burning up much power in idle (just when gaming). The 295 at idle still was a power hog! I'll just have to see what power draw is when gaming and 100% crunching. My alienware was around 300 to 350 watts. Crunching at 100%, monitor on and downloading MW3 drawing 140 watts... nice!

So that's my newsletter for the week, HAPPY CRUNCHING EVERYONE!

EDIT: We have passed up the Israeli overclockers in our HCC challenge 'Let us end it 2011' We are now in 8th place! GJ all!
