Recently I've achieved 15y of computer donor time! I've been watching the WCG facebook app will it give me a "recognition" for the 15y of CPU time... And it didn't!
----------------------------------------To get more promotion on facebook, it's vital not only to receive recognitions for the points, but also for the CPU time spent on the project! With that, more of the recognition will be seen by my friends, more of them will see me get the recognition pins on the facebook, more of them will ask me about it & more of them will install the WCG BOINC app on their computer! Isn't that the idea of marting with WCG facebook app? To recognize the pins for projects. To recognize the points for research done with CPUs. Tell me, does that sound plain logical to you? |

I think its just a milestone app, to tell you recent milestones. So it's not something useful such as a click on me app so your friends can crunch for you.

Hi Luka,
----------------------------------------Had not visited for a long time, seeing a WCGGrid tab at top, but not sure if visitors to my test-account wall who are signed in see that too. When I click on that I get my full personal stats. When I click on your link I get those too and below there being a run down of news items. Did not even know these things were live:  ... the reason maybe, because they appear to come from somewhere else... which makes me think this is not the WCG official facebook app, rather this one is pulled from the WCG front page link: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=5833215229 The certificate is discussed somewhere by knreed mentioning levels, years based, but don't know (can't remember) if plan is to incorporate that into facebook.
