% complete for the cancer project

Does anyone know how much of the cancer project is done? I mean at the time of this post the project has had 54906 years of runtime and 91,601,709 results submitted.

Re: % complete for the cancer project

Just remember, the percentage does sometimes go down as they add more samples into the available pool. We were at almost 60% done when it dropped to about 35% done a few weeks ago.

Re: % complete for the cancer project

I just hope they come up with some new drug with all of this research we are doing. I also would admit that I rather they start a new cancer project. That way we can feel like we accomplish something. For the other smaller ones, I can understand adding new stuff to test, but the cancer project is pretty big.

Re: % complete for the cancer project

both cancer and aids are 2 projects that when they started them they knew they would add more tests. most the other projects when they complete a phase of the project and go to round 2 or such its a completly diffrent type of program and type of calculation. i am sure once they get to the point of doing something vastly diffrent with cancer reserch and aids resuerch they will make a phase 2 but right now they dont need to.

http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/about_us/viewNewsArticle.do?articleId=133 is the link to the latest press release i have found

as the project grows and phases are done we get to see press repleases and that where you can really see whats being done..

untill cancer becomes cureable in all forms and stages there will always need to be more reserch and more testing.

being a cancer survivor myself i am just happy the project is going and looking for a cure
