I agree, the WCGACT chart was very, very helpful. It will be missed, but I hope to see it back sometime in the future, maybe with a big disclaimer for those "PUPs".

Where are the posts of the complaints about this chart. I'm having troubles searching them down.

I missed the chart too when it disappeared. Used it to remind me where to travel too next in "WCG world". It saw me through the process of upgrading badges colour level by colour level.. I used to keep it displayed on the desk top. The most useful of the whole array of charts.

Another person who misses the wonderful chart
What I would really like to see is a kind of table/chart with a count down to "no more new work" for each active project. Something with a max/min in months to allow for "suprises" at the end. For example: FAAH 6/2 To indicate there are 2-6 months left on the project. (totally made up numbers so don't panic!) Then when the 30 day notice comes out it could count down by days. The 'complaints' I've seen are that the chart showed x months left but the project end came 3 months sooner than x months. If a 3-5 month range is provided it should eliminate those unpleasant suprises. With so many variables in the estimates, I'm suprised they even get the ending year right ![]() |

Don't you think that if Sek knew the project was going to end 3 months early, he would have told us? Of course he would have. We are lucky to even get an estimated end date of any kind. I remember posts when HCMD2 first started when the Techs wouldn't even tell us ANY end date. It took weeks to know if the project was going to run longer than 3 months.

WHAT?!?! No more chart? That's the only one I looked at!!!
I thought everyone knew it was only an estimate and could be off by as much as +/- 3 months. Not to mention the projects change all the time. This is science people, wake up! There are so many variables! It's always the morons that ruin a good thing. Sek, that was by far the best graph, I appreciated it, and hope it comes back if you can find a way to display a big disclaimer for the PUPs, and simplify the work of maintaining it for yourself. We need some programming guru to code auto-updating charts based on numbers right from the server, that would be amazing! If my opinion counts for anything, ditch a handful of the other charts and bring back that one. :-) |

Don't you think that if Sek knew the project was going to end 3 months early, he would have told us? astrolab, that was my point. We (Sek) don't know for certian when it will end. We may think it's going to end in 6 months, so we give a range of 2-6 months to the end to cover the uncertainty. That way if it does turn out to be only 3 months we are still "right". As a part time badge hunter I looked at that chart about once a week to see what projects were estimated to end next. It was my favorite chart and I'm sad to see it gone. |
