Ah, remember both projects, they started in 2001, Genome@home in February, and UD/"think" last week of April if not mis-remembers. (UD had been running before, but only some little interesting 'commercial' project).

Of these, UD was stuck with the mediocre UD-agent, that didn't work on multi-cpu, and couldn't cache work. Also, it had a screwed-up points-system. So, I ditched the UD-agent already in 2001.

Genome@home on the other hand had an excellent client, even it was beta, there could run multiple clients on multi-cpu, and excellent caching of results so could easily use on dialup.

But, unfortunately, Genome@home was run by Pandelab, the same people that also does Folding@Home, and they decided it was a "good idea" to force the genome-users to downgrade to the mediocre FAH-client instead. sad So, after the forced downgrade, also ditched Genome@home.

Listen!
I hear music and there's no-one there

Can it be?

Every time I see the word "Grorg," I hear the Dead March from Saul.
