Re: HTTP error on upload

As a test I have switched my home dial-up computer to Docking@Home, another BOINC project. I have been through three download/upload/reporting cycles, and I can say that it Just Works - perfectly - as in ZERO retries or failures - just like WCG used to be. I hope this will erase any doubt that may be in anyone's mind about whether or not the issue in this thread is WCG's problem.

This will be my last post in this thread unless something changes or I am contacted by someone at WCG for more information, which I am still happy to provide. It's now up to them.

In the meantime, for others still helplessly frustrated by this problem I do recommend trying Docking@Home. That's where my home computer will be until the problem here is fixed.

Re: HTTP error on upload

motech - please contact support@worldcommunitygrid.org and mention that Kevin asked that the note go to him (ref this thread). Please process a new workunit that has the upload issue first so that I can look at some log files (send the messages with the email).

At a high level I checked and 99.7% of uploads complete successfully on the first attempt so there is no indication of a general issue. However, there is clearly an issue for you so if you follow the steps above we can connect and get it resolved or at least understand why it fails.

thanks,
Kevin

Re: HTTP error on upload

I've temporarily resumed work with WCG, and after a reporting problem this morning I've submitted the log as you requested. Thanks.
