We had some t-shirts a couple of years ago but no one bought any so the vendor discontinued them.
If there was a sudden interest in t-shirts, we could talk to the vendor again and see if they will add the t-shirts back. The deal with the vendor is that they have an agreement with IBM to create all logo merchandise and as such, they are the only one authorized to "officially" use the World Community Grid logo. |

Good idea. Put the t-shirts back if you can. Make the link to them easy to find.

I bought one. Very nice t-shirt. I would buy another if they would have more than just black for color. |

Update on Cruncher Gear ... I was planning on making some available WITHOUT the official IBM logo ... using Cruncher and worldcommunitygrid.org as identifiers. This way we don't have to pay so much and IBM does not have to be involved.
Having to deal with an organization's "rights" is what kills most deals... Everyone please reply and let me know if this would be a workable (using "Cruncher" as our identifier) from your various viewpoints. cruncherfrank |

Having to deal with an organization's "rights" is what kills most deals... A deal is a deal when it is win-win. If it is win for one party only then the deal will fail. But then it means the deal is ill concieved, not well communicated to the other party etc. This is what it kills the deal. I think it is an error to say that the organization rights kill a deal. It only filters what can be done and what cannot. If this is unknown to the other party then he may have that false impression. Regarding the rights concerning WCG-IBM (name, logo, use etc..) I have no idea, but if you contact admin they should be able to help you succeed in the right way. ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Hypernova at May 6, 2010 1:38:46 PM] |
