Re: DDDT2 Type C -- Possible bad batches

Only have 1 Wu that errored out: ts01_ b028_ se0000_ 2--

The system cannot write to the specified device. (0x1d) - exit code 29 (0x1d)
</message>
<stderr_txt>
INFO: No state to restore. Start from the beginning.
ENERGY CHANGE TOLERANCE EXCEEDED
Encountered error. Exiting.

astrolab, per uplinger this is actually a "good" end. Points and time will be credited. https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,28856

I don't believe yours is the same as discussed in this thread.

Edit: forgot to paste the link. biggrin

Right. pe and se WUs are type B WUs.
In case of need the post referenced by wplachy is available as a "sticky" at the top of the DDDT2 forum.

And no, CAs cannot move or delete posts (they are not moderators either).

And, as far as I know, WCG admins who would certainly be able to move posts between threads are not supposed to do it. They only move whole threads when they are clearly not in the right section of the forum.

Re: DDDT2 Type C -- Possible bad batches

My 1 "se" WU from this batch also terminated with an error part of the way through its run:
Name | Status | Time | Claimed | Awarded
ts01_b465_se0000_3 | Error | 0.08 | 1.8 / 0.0 <== Mine
ts01_b465_se0000_2 | Error | 1.02 | 19.1 / 0.0
ts01_b465_se0000_0 | In Progress | 0.00 | 0.0 / 0.0
ts01_b465_se0000_1 | Error | | 0.82 | 14.5 / 0.0
Copies _1 and _2 had the same error log as totto73 and astrolab : "ENERGY CHANGE TOLERANCE EXCEEDED".
However, mine crashed earlier in its run (much lower credit claim), and with the error:
- exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005) - Unhandled Exception Detected...
The device is overclocked by all of 8%, and except for the "pr" WUs today has not generated any other error in 5 months' 24/7 crunching, including other DDDT2 WUs. No Windows popup window.
It could be that these "pe" WUs do unusual things, or that running CHARMM is a more severe CPU test than other WCG projects, Prime95, etc, and the crash on this WU was a coincidence confused

This machine has been very reliable and has done the majority of the 92 days work completed so far on DDDT2

Re: DDDT2 Type C -- Possible bad batches

Looks like these should have went through Beta before general release!

Re: DDDT2 Type C -- Possible bad batches

ts are the test/verification batches and per Uplinger in limited circulation... glad they do these work units that way to make sure all the set-up parms are proper.
