I have this one problem project. First time this happened. As you can see in the screencap below, the work unit for human proteome folding which I'm currently running is stuck at 80.167%, and has been stuck at that figure for the past several days. The other projects have been coming along just fine, but this one continues to run without making any progress. I have run human proteome folding before and this is the first time it's caused this problem. I suppose I could just abort the project, but I would lose my 62 hours credit for it and nobody would know about the problem.

The project went back slightly and I forfeited a lot of wasted time, but it's proceeding nicely now. Amazing what can be accomplished just by restarting the computer See? ![]() (click for full image) [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 31, 2010 8:02:01 PM] |

Thanks Zap250 for self fixing. Yes a boot does wonders to these once in a HPF2 task lifetime looping. Exiting the client and restart that would have achieved same... the tasks properly running to the end.

Not the same rilian. The HPF2 jobs are known to continue using CPU time. That what you post shows it's not getting CPU time, though the process per BOINC is active i.e. recording elapsed/wallclock... probably because a higher priority program is eating the cycles on the core that the HCC job sits on.
