To IBM NOS_Support: I have a bone to pick with you!

Now how in heck( politically correct word) am I supposed to show the top producing machine daily when you guys have a 96 core cluster showing as one machine?
I mean this is dirty pool right?
Us mere mortals simply can't compete with that.
What's next? Blue Genie showing as one machine? laughing

Can I suggest a fine Brie to go with that whine?

Were you born with no sense of humour, or have you had it removed ?

Sorry, I made the assumption that the laughing smiley I included would convey the spirit of the post./. biggrin

From what I can tell it's either a 4 blade cluster with dual 6 core westmere's in each blade w/HT turned on( 48 real cores/96 total)
Also it's the same machine or still using the machine ID in WCG that it was when showed 84 cores a few months ago so that tells me it's a blade server.
Wish we could get them to comment on this and also on those
X7560 Becktons they have on the project.
Yes, I keep a close watch on who's doing what! biggrin
Someone give B.Bover a shove and see if there is any info they can divulge witrhout getting into trouble.

Re: To IBM NOS_Support: I have a bone to pick with you!

Sorry I missed that

no problem..I could see how it might be seen as I was whining but more curious as to what I'm up against so I can figure whats needed to match or outdo him/them..
Now since realistically IBM has slightly more resources than I do here in my house and since they bring in more dollars in a second than I do in a year it is a challenge to try and keep up with them. biggrin

SO Mr. NOS-Support, tell us what that beast is or do I have to threaten a phone call to Bill B.? laughing
