[RESOLVED] BOINC 6.10.36, x86_64, "App version has unsupported platform"

I've tried to request work on a SSI cluster running Debian 5.0 x86_64. After registering the client and fetching the master file download/related projects, I receive this error message:

14-Mar-2010 07:24:10 [World Community Grid] [error] App version has unsupported platform i686-pc-linux
-gnu
14-Mar-2010 07:24:10 [World Community Grid] [error] No application found for task: i686-pc-linux-gnu 6
17 ; discarding

Are any of the projects 64-bit capable? I see this repeated as the client is downloading the initial graphics (png, gif files) and after the download completes.

The client sits there and does nothing. I've tried the current and unstable clients yielding the same results.

TIA,

Ryan

Hi,

Yup, this is something showing more frequent since the last few versions. The fix is discussed in this FAQ:

When this answers your issue, then edit your opening post and insert [RESOLVED] in the title, to mark the problem as closed.
