Isn't there a maximum number of upload retries whereafter a task will abort? If so, I could loose over 2 days of HFCC-work. For the moment I loaded work of another project and suspend networking activity. I hope the WCG Server problem with soon be solved. There's an unlimited number of times uploads and downloads can be retried, but it's still not a good idea to constantly hit "retry", especially when it's known to be a server-problem. Instead of number of retries, the upload/download-limits is on amount of time. The client saves the date and time a transfer was 1st. tried. If the timeout-period has been reached, the transfer will be tried one last time, but if it still fails, the transfer will error-out permanently. The timeout-period is 90 days with v6.10.xx-clients, and is 14 days with older clients. Both is longer than the WCG-deadline, so chances are the upload is useless long before it eventually will error-out due to too much elapsed time... Well, except if you've mis-configured your computers date and set it somewhere in the past, and later corrects it. ![]() ![]() "I make so many mistakes. But then just think of all the mistakes I don't make, although I might." |

JP, an number of steps to take is described in the Start Here FAQ:
----------------------------------------When Client-Server Communications Started to be Troublesome When having time will add a topic or section to describe some of what Ingleside just posted on UL time-outs and downloads... 14 days... very likely they'll have been completed by a wingman and been removed from the Result Status page... another error. edit: fixed link
