Go to your WCG page and in the settings there is a place for max cores or work units and change it to 32..I think it's 16 by default.
----------------------------------------You got a beckton machine? X7560's? If so you'll want to make that number 64 and turn on hyperthreading in the bios ![]() [Edit 3 times, last edit by Movieman at Feb 18, 2010 1:56:28 AM] |

I would like to know the spec"s. Processors, manufacture, ram type and max it will hold. Supposed this server is 3 times the size of a normal tower. Am assuming RTP is IBM, right? Oh, and what it cost for this beast and where can I buy one.

Oh, and what it cost for this beast and where can I buy one. Just a guess but an educated guess: 4xX7560's:$8000.00 Motherboard: $1500.00 MINIMUM of 32x1 gig DDR3-1066..I'm afraid to look Power supply; A good 1200w unit; $350.00-450.00 Then heatsinks, add another $250.00 for 4 There are tower cases available to handle these boards. Supermicro makes some very nice ones. Not cheap but top quality. Add it all up and yea, the price of a cheap new car.. Now you know why I do the dualies, quad socket is VERY expensive. ![]() ![]() |
