Just recently after bionic completed one work unit and starting another it gave me the message "paused other work running" after about 5 seconds of running the new work unit.
screen shot I'm still fairly new to using bionic so this could be normal but it seams to have been like this for a couple hours now and so has me worried. thanks for reading any insight into this i would be grateful for. |

NokeDiddy,
----------------------------------------The BOINC screenshot of the simple view shows there's a HPF2 job loaded that ran 5 seconds. If you hit in that view the messages field, bottom left, that opens up the log. Plz copy them and paste/post it here so we can read what sequence of events took place. Possibly your client is set to pause when you're using the computer. ttyl

Okay, that looks fine, but what more is listed after that such as jobs downloading, starting stopping etc. Like to see that to understand what BOINC is doing. If you let that window sit on your screen for 20 minutes or so without touching the mouse / keyboard, something is bound to happen.
----------------------------------------There is a override line, indicating you have been working on the local preferences. Can you hit that preferences field, screenshot the prefs and post a copy? ttyl

Those look ok, no signs there that the client should pause, which leaves the need to post more of the message log where the job starts until it finishes or is suspended through this "paused other work running"

That's fine. If trouble redevelops look in the stdoutdae.txt file which keeps a copy for a few thousand lines, then makes a backup of that into the stdoutdae.old file.
