New estimates this morning : i7 920 @ 3GHz : 8 units simultaneously - 50 hours per unit Q9450 @ 3GHz : 4 units simultaneously - 30 hours per unit Q6600 @ 2,4GHz : 4 unites simultaneously - 40 hours per unit T2050 @ 1.6 GHz : 2 simultaneous units - 100 hours per unit My Pentium 4 doesn't support this project because is needed 750 MB ram or above. Interesting this numbers, specilaly with your i7 ... I have a QX9770 @ 3.2 GHz - W Vista Ultimate 32 Bit - 4 GB RAM - running 4 DDDT2 WU's simultaneously. All started with something around 22 hours per WU to be completed. Now, after 7.2 hours, all are about 33% of processing completed. Just to test it exclusively, I disabled all other applications in this machine to allow just WCG run this WU's. ![]()
Cheers ! GIB@

681.2 credit claimed LOL!
----------------------------------------I got like 2 results returned today, since 2 out of 3 machines R doing Dengue (my laptop isn't even going to try). It likes the 128 meg requirement of Rice (and the 7hour and it's done!) ![]() |

Personally I have one running in a Q6600 at 3.16 GHz and it should last between 39 and 40 hours (average 47 minutes between checkpoints - 2 %). Complete. No noticeable trouble.Elapsed time: 38:45:57 CPU time: 37:37:19 Uploaded files: 91.50, 62.27 and 30.89 KB. erlc_ b001_ ps0000_ 1-- 612 Valide 17/02/10 17:11:25 19/02/10 08:12:48 37,62 874,7 / 769,3 <--- mine erlc_ b001_ ps0000_ 0-- 612 Valide 17/02/10 17:09:44 19/02/10 07:20:36 35,90 664,0 / 769,3 Edit: PS: Thanks to my wingman for having returned it quickly. ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by JmBoullier at Feb 19, 2010 8:24:00 AM] |

It's nice to see a close claim range on such long jobs... the A type beta's done here were in the 680-690 range with a 32 bit client/os. The current 4 will finish before midnight on 44.5 to 46.5 hours. With a bit of wingmen cooperation we'll be seeing some project stats by noon or tomorrow morning, how the fast brothers will do and how the mean run times will develop compared to the 30-100 hour range offered.
----------------------------------------And watch those checkpoints if you have to boot the machine... at one per 2% progress could loose quite a bit of time. edit: ok, with wingmen having cooperated it's now up to uplinger's validator.

That will be the next pass-time: suspend/release A type's in the queue that already have a Pending Validation waiting for partnership. See 1 of 4 in queue that now is waiting on me, so that one is going to get pref treatment

It is my first four units (from the Q9450 @ 3GHz) are pending with durations of load between 27 and 30 hours each. This evening around 19h UTC will be the turn of the i7 920 @ 3GHz completed eight units after approximately 50 hours of calculation. A little later, the first four of the Q6600 (2.4 GHz) should come after 36 to 40 hours to load (it started later than other computers). The T2050 (1.6 GHz) it is still far from the finish, with a total estimated 90 hours per unit (30% done now) |

It's nice to see a close claim range on such long jobs... Indeed: erlc_ d152_ ps0000_ 0-- 612 Valid 2/17/10 19:53:54 2/19/10 06:30:06 33.82 575.3 / 574.7 erlc_ d152_ ps0000_ 1-- 612 Valid 2/17/10 19:53:54 2/19/10 10:00:26 37.31 574.2 / 574.7 A claimed difference of 1.1 Points for jobs that run more than 33 hours is just sensational - even across very different BOINC versions: My wingman works with a BOINC 5.10.45, I have 6.10.18 running on that specific machine. |
