Re: CPU Time 15 minutes, Zero Percent!

1.5% after an hour here. These are very large units.
Each of the eight units that turn hold 200 MB of RAM.

Re: CPU Time 15 minutes, Zero Percent!

I just got some, but one snuck in an hour ago while I was gone. It's at 2%.
The other notable thing (to me at least) is the large footprint, 665+ MB virtual memory so far (32-bit XP, Q9450)

Yes, that was warned on during the Beta phase, which is why underpowered devices are not getting them. For the B and C types it's allot better, but still with a very sizeable VM use... 520Mb for C. Don't think we should worry too much about VM though when there's readily off the shelf 1Tb pocket drives and 32Gb memory sticks.

Ir'a not the disk space, it's the OS getting a bit flaky when pressed with lots of simultaneous large apps --you must have more faith or happier experiences with Windows memory management than I wink

Still, happily forging ahead with all cores and will see what happens biggrin

Re: CPU Time 15 minutes, Zero Percent!

Well I'm sure I'll find it later, but can't find Virtual Mem usage in task manager.
But I found 2.32 Gigs of Physical mem used with 4 Dengue running (still have 4 rice to finish up) then we'll see what it looks like. (I7 920 with 6 gigs of RAM) who thought it would be WCG making me think of more RAM lol)

Is that an hyperthreaded I7? My little Centrino duo laptop did the Beta A test results in 64 and 65 hours concurrently. Don't look perturbed if the credits do not work out to be matching claims.

edit: Think they'll work out to run allot faster, after 5.2% the extrapolated times have shrunk to 55 hours on the quad. Now and then the fans whine up, presuming there are some intense bits at times, particularly when 4 running concurrent.

Re: CPU Time 15 minutes, Zero Percent!

my hyper i7 920 is doing 200 megs (a tad more) apiece. (just in case he isn't browsing the thread anymore)

Edit: And .5% at 34 min

Well, W7 has lifted that confidence level far above that what the IPCC considers required for a solid prediction... mine is 99.9999%

Yes, SMT is activated. I have eight units at the same time on this CPU.

Re: CPU Time 15 minutes, Zero Percent!

Uhm, ok getting computational errors, and in the messages it says
Error process creation failed: The paging file is too small for
this operation to complete.
had a dozen or so error out this way...
Going to go look at my pagin file, cuz i should have 3 gigs of RAM sitting around still...

Ok, for some unknown reason (other than I hate paging files)
My paging file size was set to ZERO.
Therefore I have set the new variables to 1000meg initial to
3000 meg max...
I'll re edit if there is more problems but I dun think there will be.
Time for a movie and more coffee
