Re: DDDT2 Project Badge Recognition Thread

Good catch. 15. I'll make the change now.
Its still ridiculous.

I had 16 pages of PV, (from 1.5 days que)
Look at it differently,
Look at it from the perspective of getting presents (valid WU's)
for Days afterwards. For example I got a record 51,000 points
one day because of PV (99% dengue). Normally I'm in the 30-40K range.

LOL, this post was 10 times longer, I always leave em sit for a
while now so I can decide if I really wanna say what I said.
Suffice to say that this is science in motion,
there will be bumps, be glad to have an opportunity to contribute, CHEERS coffee

Re: DDDT2 Project Badge Recognition Thread

Simple answer, more machines. Sell the idea (grid computing) to your family and friends and install boinc using your account. More machines with .2 to .5 cache will greatly increase your chance of getting a wu.

Ya know X-files I must be a lousy salesman (I do hate sales)
My arguement for WCG,
1. your computer still runs (I'm a mad gamer it cuts into my points significantly)

2. Leaving your computer running is better for it than turning it off and on all the time.

3. You get to CONTRIBUTE to science. HOW COOL IS THAT!

4. Just costs a little electricity and VERY little time if you dont want to babysit it.

Noone has installed that I know of... even my couple of techy/geeky friends. crying

Why don't they get it confused
I shower, I dont have tatooes on my face
I'm not Jabba the Hut (though I've been on a diet so I dont get there)
I even gave someone a 200 dollar refurbished computer I bought for my Dad
(but he had someone fix his old one (which used to be mine as well)). And they dont want to install it...
Edit: Maybe I should tell them NOT to do it
