Re: What Projects are you crunching here at WCG

CEP2 until I reach Blue (still far off), HCC (until I reach 7M, or it ends), HCMD2 until it ends probably (Low RAM, I/O and bandwidth is a good thing). I guess HFCC and DDDT2 could come back at short notice and throw my plans out, but one is still due to end and the other is like the Cheshire cat.

I'll hit 5 years on HCC next week and will then switch to HCMD2 to run it up to 5 years while still plinking away at CEP2.

Re: What Projects are you crunching here at WCG

Now that I am fairly sure of reaching my HCC milestone (10M WCG points or 10.5M = 1.5M Boinc Credits) I'm back doing the odd CEP2 task. Starting to get a few HFCC tasks, so will be increasingly doing these tasks. Will run some HPF2 tasks until I pass 5M, a few days.

DDDT2 goals reached so it's in set and forget mode. I won't be chasing any more goals on that project any time soon.

Looking forward to running the low overhead HCMD2 tasks again, and a new project, whenever it turns up.

I'll probably increase my non-WCG Boinc contributions in a few weeks, but not to the extent that I drop out of the top 500.

Re: What Projects are you crunching here at WCG

Well, I've switched my full attention to HFCC, as I'd like to move it up from Emerald to Sapphire level - a process which, for me, will take at least 4 months...

Indeed, when the new project(s) launches, I'll only just do enough to get a Bronze initially - as I don't wish to gamble coming up short by a matter of days on HFCC (I'm willing to even forgo a beta run or two...).

Re: What Projects are you crunching here at WCG

I expect to finish the 3rd year of HCC in less than a week.

I'll turn my focus to HCMD2 when it resumes as I hope to get Sapphire before it ends.

My more capable machines are crunching a mixture of CEP2, FAAH, HPF2, and now HFCC.

I'll add in the new projects as they come on line, and of course will hunt betas and DDDT2s when they are in season. biggrin

Re: What Projects are you crunching here at WCG

By "set and forget", I mean it's ticked, for 40+ cores, so it's down to server priorities to send them my way - I'm just not chasing; caching to 24h and then selecting DDDT2-Only and setting cache to 9days, checking in every now and again to hit the update key repeatedly...
I also crunch for Malaria Control, amongst at least 20 other good projects, and I am selective; I don't participate in pointless mathematical research, just a few Cosmos projects.
