Re: This is for bbover and the IBM guys ..

machine started on the project on March 19th.
Even with a lot of interuptions for benching, testing, etc I'm now closing in on 2 million WCG points.
Machine is on the HCC project and doing 24 WU every 95 minutes running at 4152MHz..

Impressive no doubt, sorry to come always with the same question blushing, have you opportunity to measure power consumption at that speed?

thanks

Yes and my apologies for not answering this sooner.
Right now at 4152mhz with 8-120x25mm 113cfm fans, 3 hard drives and a EVGA 260GTX vid card at idle I'm showing 658W on the Kill-a-watt.
That is with the machine at 100% load running WCG doing the HCC work units.
Current numbers since March 19;
Device Name... Last Results Returned Total Run Time PointsGenerated Results Returned
MemOfJonMagoon.. 4/10/10 ............ 1:094:05:57:01....... 1,950,261 ......3,909

Re: This is for bbover and the IBM guys ..

Movieman, how many Boinc points does MemOfJonMagoon pickup per day?

For HCC I get between 36.1 and 50.4 points per task, depending on my computer and the other crunchers computer. The difference can be 30% - So I am wondering what you are granted for the tasks.
I guess from your 95min per task (364per day), you get between 10K and 20K WCG points (about 2K Boinc points)?

Thanks,

Re: This is for bbover and the IBM guys ..

It varies depending on who I get matched up with and thats the issue but nothing I can do about it.
I get on a day where there's no testing or breaks in the work app 14,700BOINC points..
Also I was off on that 95 min/WU timeframe, closer to 102 mins per HCC WU

Re: This is for bbover and the IBM guys ..

I have over 40 cores (not threads) of various types running Boinc at any given time - I dont get anywhere near that total.
Puts into perspective how good your MemOfJonMagoon system is.
Thanks for the info,

Re: This is for bbover and the IBM guys ..

I also have my "Sammy" rig that does it's 900 BOINC PPD.
Dual Yonah(Sossaman) 31w laptop cpu's that you can build with board, cpu's,memory and HS for under $200.00
Also makes a heck of a daily driver..

Next is the dual Magny cours(2x12 core) and I just sourced a motherboard for it last night.
It will be interesting to do! biggrin

Re: This is for bbover and the IBM guys ..

A long day!
Still would bring home 103390 WCG point per day on average, or 14770 Boinc points; impressive kit.
