Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 41 smilesmile

I took the opportunity to upgrade my newest vista machine to windows 7 and i think i like it. it doesn't hurt that i got windows 7 ultimate 64bit for $30. gotta love those student discounts that are available for anyone who has an email address that ends in .edu (like the one i have from my alumni association).

Hey parmesian.. Where did you find that?

Welcome Mechanical!
Congrats Airwolf_Liu!

cool

Thank You. I appreciate it. Actually I was looking for Ultimate 64 and that one is "Professional" and I can't tell if it is 64 or 32. One can probably choose 32 or 64 somewhere deeper in the order process. I have a new "Professional" license now that I am going to try out on one of the machines around here and see if it provides everything my grandaughter needs prior to having her order this for a machine I am re-building for her.

Again. Thank You Sir.

At this point, I have to start recommending X64 as opposed to X32. The advantages of 64 bit are becoming increasingly obvious and the relative stability advantage historically enjoyed by 32 bit is diminishing as more developers turn their attention to X64 architecture.
