Boinc Manager stops to fetch new projects

Hi

On random basis my Boinc Manager stops to fetch new projects.
It finishes current projects and simply doesn't grab new ones or send finished ones.
When that happens I need to click 'Update' button for several times until it download new projects.

OS: Win XP SP3
Boinc Manager 6.6.38
CPU: q9550 - boinc is set to use all 4 cores, max usage at 60%
Internet connection is with router - non stop connected.

All checkboxes are checked in "My Project" online settings

Any suggestions?

Re: Boinc Manager stops to fetch new projects

There's a multitude of reasons why this could happen such as a temporary interruption of work or jobs that took much longer than originally projected. Principally BOINC should be fetching work no later than when the last job is completed on a multicore. With version 6.10 better logic is implemented to make sure all cores remain busy, irrespective of the progress and efficiency statistics. WCG is working to adopt this client and will promote it to recommended when it has fully stabilized. Until then just let it run, and if there is no work at all being processed to reset the project in the client.
