Hi,
today I installed a new Win7 Home version and tried to reinstall the WCG client afterwards as normal user and in a second try as administrator. Installation was fine and the client started as expected. Unfortunately Login failed (Passwords are correct, Website login works). Is the client blocked somehow by a Win7 firewall and how can I avoid this ? |

Hello JoergH,
Could you copy your Messages tab and paste it so we can see what BOINC has to say? Lawrence |

Boinc just says, that it can't connect to the server and asks about a proxy, which is of course not present. It's not easy to copy the message, because the computer is not one of my team members, who lives in another city.

Not sure if you can ask your team member to try this: http://pastebin.com/ And then paste the link here? (Remove sensitive stuff like Computer ID, etc. first) [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 6, 2010 5:36:13 AM] |

Thanky Monnian for your help. I managed to solve the problem today by creating an exception to the firewall manually. I guess there was an additional problem with the internet connection via powerline. Now it's working fine.
