Re: Time discrepency

Hi Judson!
I was not saying that searching for answers is easy,
or that the Start Here/FAQ forum cannot be improved,
or that we will no longer answer questions which have their answer in Start Here/FAQ.

I was simply answering your post asking for a place to put all these answers together, and this place already exists.

So maybe we should see what needs to be improved there? For example you could make a list of topics of the index which you find too cryptic, or not meaningful for beginners, or the worst, really misleading.
I don't promise that we will always find a better alternative (some topics are not easy to summarize in a simple way), but at least we will try.

Thank you for your interest and for your comments. Jean.

Elapsed Time 06:14:35

BOINC Client is: 06.10.18

Re: Time discrepency

... because it's known and discussed on these forums too, that 6.10 is able to loose whole or part of the elapsed time, fortunately not forgetting the CPU time. Since 6.10 uses the elapsed time for Time To Complete and buffer size computation and more it can lead to a severely mucked up client scheduling... through 6.10.29 that scheduling is still very mucked up so waiting for the next 6.10 test release.
