[RESOLVED]Problem getting work for new Ubuntu computer

I've just installed Ubuntu om my desktop computer. I also installed BOINC and attached it to the bam account manager. Boinc didn't get any work from WCG and I remembered that WCG doesn't support account managers fully so I attached to WCG manually from the BOINC manager as well. Still no luck though. See the WCG related messages below.
Can anyone help?

Re: Problem getting work for new Ubuntu computer

That continues to be the numero uno Linux fail to get crunching for WCG, the missing / misplaced ca-bundle.crt.

request failed: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates

Please see this yesterday's thread: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,28072 and join in there if this does not resolve your problem.

And Thanks for choosing to contribute CPU time to WCG.

Re: Problem getting work for new Ubuntu computer

Thanks! I had to follow the ubuntu specific instructions here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/boinc/+bug/246205

This Ubuntu install is the first step towards putting this computer as a home web/file server. It will then be able to crunch BOINC 24/7. My current server is a P3 500MHz and although it also does 24/7 it doesn't have a very high throughput... An Athlon 64 X2 should be able to get a few more workunits done at least smile

[RESOLVED] Problem getting work for new Ubuntu computer

Great. I've added your instructive link to our FAQ. What Ubuntu is this?

Also, please edit your opening post and insert [RESOLVED] in the title

Happy crunching.

Re: [RESOLVED] Problem getting work for new Ubuntu computer

This was the latest and greatest, Ubuntu 9.10 32-bit intel version.

By the way I did the second suggested work-around described in the launchpad.net web page above.

Thanks again. I wouldn't have found the ubuntu instructions if it wasn't for your link (and another link that pointed to another link..). You provide great support here in the forums!
