Re: Latest mac version

Leopard or Snow Flake? With the ScreenSaver issues in mind, you're probably best off in fetching 6.10.21 from the developers, the latest greatest, this nano moment in time. Latest still declared as STABLE is 6.10.17 http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php?all_platforms=1, also this nano moment in time.

edit: Which FAQ plz, so we can get it fixed, if we have control.

Re: Latest mac version

Okay, found the FAQ. Seems WCG is now providing their own download spot rather than having them hosted at the sometimes unstable BOINC developers location.

A secondary place to get at the working links btw is right top of the My Grid page where it says "Download Again".

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ok. Looks like WCG is pointing me to 6.2.18. Is 6.10.21 stable? I don't monitor boinc much so want something without hiccups.

Re: Latest mac version

Think I'll take the 2nd and the 5th on this... in apropos. If you're not interested in the screensaver part you're good to go on 6.2.18.

Hmm, if my recollection isn't too fuzzy, in an earlier thread about Snow Leopard, none of the users running v6.2.18 managed to get it to run, even after doing the neccessary re-installation after upgrade to Snow Leopard, but the users running v6.6.xx succeeded...

As for v6.10.21, it's got some Mac-specific bug-fixes, but if it's better than v6.10.17 I've no idea...
