Nope, although model trains would be kind of cool..

got a core i7 860, solely for crunching at this point. Took me awhile to get it situated to use all 4 cores and 8 threads. What a mess. I'm not as computer literate as i'd like to be.

That, IMHO, was a great choice. Glad you got by the issues and got that baby busy with 8 threads. It will crank out the work. smile applause

Well, we'd all like a Ferrari.. and sometimes we have to settle for the Toyota..

It seems to crank them out pretty well.. had to adjust a few things at first.. what a pain.. lol

Still get the occasional hpf computation errors.. some work though. When I do get an error, it's only after a minute or so.. I keep crunching them.. :)

I quit HPFII because I was getting lots of errors and not all of them errored in a few min. I had hours and hours in some of them.

Nice to see you finally commit! laughing Just hope you're not as bad when it comes time to get hitched! It does take a day or two for the points to start kicking in with a new machine but it does look like that's started for you. As for computer literacy, no one is as literate as they want to be. Sounds like you did just fine though and the stuff you figure out on your own does tend to stay with you better.
