Hi,
I attached my BOINC client with GridRepublic as an account manager. Also, synchronized the client with account manager using Tools -> Synchorinize with GridRepublic command. Still, i am unable to see any updates on the GridRepublic website for my account. Question 1: Is using GridRepublic actually useful to us? Question 2: How do i sync with GridRepublic now? CHEERS!! |

Any AMS is as useful as you want it to be. If correctly configured, attaching a new client to BAM or GR is enough to have all your projects that you told the AMS you want to add to new clients to be attached.
----------------------------------------Once you are attached to an AMS, there's no escape and with GR I found it was fetching more data than I wanted them to fetch, so I detached the clients again. Whilst, when I looked in just now, they're still grabbing my data. Since I've obfuscated the device names (the network names) with a setting in the cc_config.xml, they can only get project totals and list all devices with zero score, still, as fetched directly from the projects. Anyway, I have removed the projects in the account now too, and still they're listing my decommissioned devices by name. No option to delete or remove. PS: there is a Refresh button bottom center of the account home page that should fetch the account totals directly from the projects. I just for the test added a project back, hit the button and it fetched the correct totals. PPS: I just found that malaria.control.net is not supported by them... BAM does. Not checked what else is missing there.
