Hi,
I had the same problem and got the same solution from the faq a while ago. But it just minimizes the windows. Is there a way to have only the program running in the systray, without the windows opening after the XP login? I'm changing some old PCs in my company, and since they're more powerful I can run the agent on them now. The problem is that I want the agent to be oblivious to the end-user, such as only in the systray. Any help is welcome! Tks! |

The shortcut should be itself set to open as normal, not maximum or minimum, else /s wont work.

What you found determines if the BOINC Manager is loaded at log from the registry run command, rather than from a shortcut in the startup folder. Out of the box, the registry setting loads the BM and by default puts it in the system tray only. That's different to what you were looking to do with a shortcut.

Correct. And if manually started by a PC user it's most likely not able to connect to the core client either... at least I've had trouble with that, which is why I do use All Users install.

And if manually started by a PC user it's most likely not able to connect to the core client either... That's probably what it is meant for. For big organizations installations. ![]() |
