The next "WCG supported" version of the BOINC client for Windows will be based on BOINC 6.10 and thus it will support GPU computing. This new version might be available in December this year, but don't take this as a firm promise (I'm not in charge and I don't make promises for others).
----------------------------------------In the meantime you might try version 6.10.17 available at Berkeley if you really need to run GPUs. It will be at your own risk but it seems quite good and there are a few members here able to help you if needed. Regarding GPU computing at WCG I think that there will not be any such projects before several months. People from the HCC project are looking into it but the decision to do it is entirely theirs. Cheers. Jean. PS: Could you please edit the title in your opening post to make it more informative. Thanks in advance. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by JmBoullier at Nov 10, 2009 9:45:09 AM] |

Hi guys,
I downloaded the new BOINC 6.10 with GPU support for ATI. BOINC is recognizing the GPU but now I would like to know if I am actually using my GPU to crunch or not? How can I see this? the time to completion hasn't decreased. Thanks, Thibaud |
