Win7 fresh install

Hello, I want to install the WCG client on a 64-bits Win7 Home Premium system, but there's two install options (x86 + x64 folders) and no opt-out of either as far as I can find. So how do I do it?

Re: Win7 fresh install

Use the 64 bit client directly from Berkeley; WCG doesn't have a 64 bit one:

Re: Win7 fresh install

Thanks. Should have thought of that. But what if I want to run a 32-bit version?

I think the 32 bit version will run fine. Vista x64 runs 32 bit apps via 32 bit emulation and installs them in program files (x86) directory.

Sure? Installer offers both options and I see no way to choose only one, which is what I tried to state in my first post.

I can't install it right now so I can't see what you're seeing, but there are two different versions from the link I posted above: a 32 bit and 64 bit. Either should work, but I'd go with the 64 bit.

Caveat: the only "official" version by WCG is the one on the WCG website. The Berkeley ones have not been evaulated by IBM for security.

Well, I haven't made up my mind yet, that's why I want to know. Thanks anyway.
