Re: Message from Server: (won't finish in time) bugger

Well, I guess you should know better than me. But I saw this behaviour the very first time with 6.6.36. I am running Boinc since the very first days on Win, Linux and Mac. I have not changed crunching habits significantly.

There's a bug in v6.6.36, there if you're running multiple projects, all the work on computer is used when deciding if can handle work-assignments or not.

Meaning, if you've example got a CPDN-task with 14 days left to run, you won't get work from WCG, since 14 days > the 10-day-deadline.

This particular bug is fixed in later clients, but not sure when, if ever, a new v6.6.xx-mac-client will be released. So, you'll either need to try downgrading (not sure with Mac, but AFAIK v6.6.28 shouldn't have this particular bug atleast), or you can try the v6.10.13-client that's currently in testing, downloadable from http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php

Also, suspending the other project(s) before asking for WCG-work should improve things...

Re: Message from Server: (won't finish in time) bugger

Goes to show the mess with the numbering... now would support not be more easier if all platforms have number alignment when a level of "recommended" is reached. Oh wait, "recommended" sometimes does not last longer than 24 hours and upgrade messages are already send so often.

and 6.6.36 is broke, at least padre999 thinks so, in this particular area ;o|

(might there there be some bruising of souls in Barcelona next week ?)
