This is a really important project and I hope that the results will be used for the benefit of all mankind. It's one of the reasons I switched off SETI - a fun one to do before there were other grid projects, but CEP is so much more important.

Agreed. Many more people will crunch if the cost of electricity go down. More people = better for all projects. This and flu are why I switched my cpus to WCG. Now while waiting for phase 2 I'm happily crunching for HCC.

You know the policy: never any committed date here!

Thanks to all who helped and I'll be looking for information on CEP2.
----------------------------------------With a new dual core computer I may be able to spend more time on the next version. CEP1 just didn't work on the "old" 'puter when other daily jobs were also running on the same machine. BTW, the "old" machine is still on-line and working on projects that don't require a lot of speed or processing power (currently running "Rice" project). That's one reason I'd like to see the cost of electricity go down -- but I'm not going to hold my breath. ![]() "Everything in moderation, including moderation" -- Mark Twain |
